About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Cloud Architect / Associate Cloud Architect to join our Cloud & Infrastructure team.
This is an entry-level opportunity for freshers or professionals with up to 1 year of experience who have a strong understanding of cloud computing and hold a relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud certification.
The selected candidate will work under the guidance of experienced Cloud Architects and Engineers to understand customer requirements, design cloud solutions, support cloud deployments, and develop practical expertise in cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Cloud Architects in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
- Understand business and technical requirements and assist in translating them into cloud solutions.
- Work with core cloud services including:
- Compute
- Storage
- Networking
- Databases
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Security
- Monitoring and Logging
- Assist with cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain basic cloud architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
- Support cloud migration and modernization activities.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for scalability, availability, performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams on CI/CD and cloud deployment activities.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to solution design.
- Follow cloud architecture and security best practices.
- Continuously learn new cloud technologies, services, and industry practices.
Required Skills
- Strong fundamental knowledge of Cloud Computing and Cloud Architecture.
- Hands-on knowledge of at least one cloud platform:
- AWS, or
- Microsoft Azure, or
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Understanding of:
- Virtual machines / compute services
- Cloud storage
- Virtual networks, subnets, and security groups
- Load balancing
- DNS
- IAM and access management
- Cloud databases
- Monitoring and logging
- Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Linux is preferred.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Certification
Candidates should have at least one relevant cloud certification or be actively preparing for one.
Preferred certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Microsoft Azure certification
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer
- Other relevant cloud certifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Fresh graduates with relevant certifications, internships, academic projects, or hands-on cloud projects are encouraged to apply.
