Junior Chemical Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor copper refining cell house processes to achieve production and quality targets.
• Ensure electrolyte quality, cathode quality, and DC slime quality as per operating standards.
• Operate DCS, rectifiers, VFD pumps, cooling towers, and PHE systems efficiently.
• Monitor cell voltages and current efficiency, and take corrective actions when required.
• Conduct anode quality and verticality checks to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify, mark, eliminate, and rectify short circuits and dead electrodes in electrolytic cells.
• Handle sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid safely while following standard operating procedures.
• Maintain daily production records, log sheets, and operational reports accurately.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and participate in WCM activities, including training and workplace improvement initiatives.
• Strictly adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental compliance norms to maintain a safe workplace.
