Junior Architect

Role & responsibilities

* Assist senior architects and interior designers in planning, designing, and executing residential and commercial interior projects.

* Prepare 2D drawings, furniture layouts, working drawings, and detailed interior drawings using AutoCAD.

* Develop 3D models and interior visualizations using SketchUp and other relevant software.

* Assist in selecting materials, finishes, colours, furniture, lighting, and interior accessories.

* Prepare mood boards, material boards, and basic presentation drawings.

* Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors, and other consultants.

* Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and ensure design specifications are followed.

* Understand client requirements and assist in translating them into practical design solutions.

* Maintain proper documentation and ensure drawings are updated as per project requirements.

* Follow project timelines and assist in completing assigned tasks efficiently.

Preferred candidate profile

* Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp is preferred.

* Basic understanding of interior layouts, furniture planning, materials, and construction details.

* Knowledge of rendering software such as V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, or similar tools is an added advantage.

* Ability to read and understand architectural and interior working drawings.

* Creative mindset with an eye for detail, aesthetics, and practical design.

* Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

* Willingness to learn, take responsibility, and work on real-time projects.

* Must be open to site visits and coordination with contractors when required.

* Candidates should be sincere, proactive, organised, and committed to meeting deadlines.
