Junior Accountant

Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Salem office. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Tally, a solid accounts background, and hands-on experience with day-to-day bookkeeping and entries. This role reports to and works closely under the guidance of our Senior Finance Manager, assisting with daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting entries in Tally
• Handle bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and voucher entries
• Assist with bank reconciliation and petty cash management
• Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor bill entries
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
• Carry out tasks and follow instructions assigned by the Senior Finance Manager
• Assist in preparing reports as required for internal review
• Coordinate with site and purchase teams for expense-related entries

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of Tally (ERP/Prime)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Accuracy in data entry and bookkeeping
• Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn

Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance
• Prior experience in a similar role preferred (construction, interior design, or manufacturing industry background is a plus)
