Jr. Manager - Direct Taxation

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and monitor direct tax compliances including TDS payments, Advance Tax, Income Tax Returns, TDS Returns, and SFT Returns.
• Ensure timely filing of all statutory direct tax returns and compliance requirements.
• Review and respond to tax notices, assessments, and departmental communications.
• Prepare assessment replies, appeal papers, written submissions, and supporting documentation for tax litigation matters.
• Coordinate with business teams and shared services teams to resolve taxation-related queries and compliance issues.
• Provide advisory support on direct taxation matters and assess tax implications of business transactions.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, notifications, and judicial pronouncements and evaluate their impact on the organization.
• Support internal audits, statutory audits, and tax audits by providing required information and documentation.
• Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, legal advisors, and tax authorities on compliance and assessment matters.
• Collaborate with SAP/ERP teams to ensure proper implementation of tax-related requirements.
• Prepare MIS reports, compliance trackers, and management reports related to direct taxation.

Preferred candidate profile

CA/CMA candidates with minimum of 1 yr of experience.
