Jr Fenestration Designer

1. Basic Role Details

• Department: Junior Fenestration Designer
• Location: Mumbai (Site + Office Based)
• Reports To: Senior Fenestration Designer
• Team Size: Individual Contributor
• Role Type: Technical Advisory

2. Purpose of the Role
To support the technical sales team in site measurements, basic client coordination, and preparation of preliminary inputs, while developing a strong foundation in fenestration systems, drawings, and client handling.

3. Key Responsibilities
A. Site & Measurement Support

• Assist seniors in site visits and measurements
• Learn and execute basic measurement processes for windows, doors, and screens
• Capture site data, photos, and observations accurately
• Technical support and details to the client stakeholders

B. Technical Support (Learning Role)

• Assist in reading drawings and BOQs & Auto-Cad
• Support preparation of basic proposals and quantity take-offs
• Coordinate with design/estimation teams for data collection

C. Client Coordination

• Support communication with clients for scheduling visits and follow-ups
• Share basic updates via WhatsApp/email under supervision
• Ensure timely documentation and information flow

D. Internal Coordination

• Work closely with sales, design, and factory teams for data exchange
• Maintain organized records of drawings, measurements, and revisions

E. Product Learning & Development

• Learn different fenestration systems, materials, and accessories
• Stay updated with company product offerings and basic technical specs

F. Reporting & Documentation

• Update CRM / trackers with site visit details and project status
• Maintain measurement sheets and project documentation

4. Key Targets / Performance Measures

• Accuracy of measurements and data collection
• Number of site visits assisted / completed
• Timeliness of reports and documentation
• Learning progress (product knowledge, drawing understanding)
• Responsiveness and coordination efficiency

5. Decision Authority

• No independent decision-making initially
• Can share basic information under guidance
• Escalates all technical decisions to seniors

Architects, Interior Designers, Builders, Contractors, Homeowners

7. Skills Required
Functional:

• Basic understanding of drawings (or willingness to learn)
• MS Excel / basic documentation skills
• Interest in technical products / construction industry

• Discipline and reliability

8. Experience Required

• 2 years experience (freshers can be considered)
• Diploma / Degree in Civil / Mechanical preferred
