About this role
with Strong Organizational Skills
As a Junior Accountant , you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks and supporting the overall functioning of the accounts department. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and be capable of handling day-to-day accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, expense reports and other financial documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and reconcile petty cash transactions.
- Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and records.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls
- Support the accounts department in various ad hoc projects and tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Junior Accountant or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
