Job Summary:

We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in structure design, welding, and GD&T to join our team at Epiroc Mining. As a key member of our design team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing robust structures for mining equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop structures for mining equipment using Creo Parametric

- Create detailed drawings, models, and simulations to ensure manufacturability and performance

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and improve product quality

- Develop and implement welding procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards

- Apply GD&T principles to ensure proper tolerancing and fit-up of components

- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support to production teams

- Identify and implement design improvements to reduce costs and enhance product reliability

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

- Experience in structure design, welding, and GD&T

- Proficiency in Creo Parametric (3D modeling and 2D drawings)

- Strong knowledge of welding processes, GD&T, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS)

- Experience with design simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA)

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
