About this role
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IT Service Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation solutions across our Jira, ServiceNow, and Ansible ecosystems.
Experience- 6-10 years
Location- Not a constraint
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Groovy scripts using ScriptRunner for Jira customization and workflow automation
- Design and implement automation for Jira and Jira Service Desk (JSD), streamlining ticketing and approval workflows
- Build and manage automation playbooks using Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports in ServiceNow for operational and management visibility
- Conduct process analysis to identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual, repetitive tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations for performance and reliability
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Groovy / ScriptRunner
- Proven expertise in Jira and JSD automation
- Working experience with Ansible / AAP
- ServiceNow dashboarding and reporting experience
- Excellent process analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong automation mindset with a track record of driving efficiency
