About The Role We are seeking experienced and highly skilled software engineers at the tech lead level to join our dynamic team working on a groundbreaking project. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the development of Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets tailored for real-world software engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with high-quality public GitHub repositories and possess the capability to perform hands-on software engineering tasks. Responsibilities include automating development environments, triaging issues, assessing test coverage and quality, and collaborating closely with research teams to enhance dataset quality and diversity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of AI-assisted software development while working on innovative projects that bridge practical engineering and cutting-edge AI research.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and setting up software development pipelines.
• Ability to understand, navigate, and modify complex codebases effectively.
• Hands-on experience running, testing, and debugging real-world projects locally.
• Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and triage issues across trending open-source libraries hosted on GitHub.
• Set up and configure development environments, including Dockerization and environment management.
• Evaluate unit test coverage and assess the quality of codebases.
• Modify and run codebases locally to test and evaluate the performance of LLMs in bug-fixing and code understanding scenarios.
• Collaborate with research teams to identify repositories and issues that pose challenges for LLMs, aiding in dataset creation and improvement.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring project milestones are achieved efficiently.
