Job Requirements*

• 610 years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including dependency injection, configuration, validation, exception handling, and data access.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming secure RESTful APIs and independently deployable microservices.
• Good understanding of microservices patterns, service decomposition, synchronous and asynchronous communication, API versioning, resiliency, observability, and distributed system challenges.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB CRUD operations, data modelling, aggregation pipelines, indexing, query optimisation, and schema design.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB Compass; exposure to Robo 3T or Studio 3T is desirable.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas for cloud-based database deployment and management is preferred.
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and relevant Spring testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and Agile delivery practices is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate technical risks and dependencies proactively.

Key Responsibilities*

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Build secure, versioned, and well-documented REST APIs with appropriate validation, exception handling, and performance controls.
• Design MongoDB collections and documents; implement CRUD operations, aggregation pipelines, and efficient query patterns.
• Define and manage MongoDB indexing strategies and optimise queries based on application access patterns.
• Use MongoDB Compass and, where applicable, MongoDB Atlas to analyse data, monitor environments, and support database operations.
• Implement automated unit, integration, and component tests and maintain agreed code-quality standards.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, estimation, sprint planning, defect triage, and production support.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, deployment notes, and operational runbooks.
