Java Spring Boot Developer Kafka 4+ Years

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Spring Boot Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Kafka and backend development to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable, reliable and high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, along with practical experience working with Kafka-based event-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop scalable REST APIs and microservices
• Design and implement Kafka producers and consumers
• Work with event-driven and asynchronous processing architectures
• Develop clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Work with databases and develop efficient queries
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers and other team members
• Follow best practices for coding, security, logging and application monitoring

Required Skills

• 4+ years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+
• Strong experience with Spring Boot
• Good understanding of Spring Framework and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Understanding of Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions and consumer groups
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• Good knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git and standard software development practices
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
