Java L2 Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced L2 Java Application Support Engineer to provide production and application support for enterprise Java applications. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, hands-on experience with Java technologies, SQL, Unix/Linux environments, and Kafka. The role involves incident resolution, root cause analysis, application monitoring, and ensuring high availability of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 production support for Java-based applications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues within defined SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Debug application issues and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis and issue investigation.
• Monitor application performance and system health.
• Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for operational activities.
• Participate in deployments, release activities, and production validations.
• Work with Git/GitHub/GitLab for code and configuration management.
• Support Kafka-based applications and messaging workflows.

Required Skills

• 4-9 years of experience in Application Support / Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Java 8, and J2EE.
• Experience in L2 Support, incident management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise applications.
• Exposure to monitoring and ticketing tools.
• Understanding of SDLC and release management processes.
