Java integration architect

• We are seeking an experienced Commerce & Integration Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable integration solutions across digital commerce platforms and enterprise systems.
• The role is responsible for defining API, microservices, and integration architectures that enable seamless connectivity between Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Adobe Commerce (Magento), CRM, ERP, OMS, payment gateways, loyalty platforms, and other enterprise applications. The architect will provide technical leadership, governance, and hands-on expertise while ensuring solutions are reusable, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical delivery of integration services across commerce and digital transformation initiatives. Design and govern APIs, microservices, and event-driven integration solutions using Java and Spring Boot. Architect integrations between eCommerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento) and enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, OMS, WMS, and payment systems. Establish technical standards, integration patterns, and governance processes.
• Review solution designs, API contracts, code quality, and technical documentation. Ensure maximum reuse of existing services and promote API-first and cloud-native architecture principles. Drive continuous improvement of the integration platform and development practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams. Support proof-of-concepts (POCs) and provide hands-on guidance for complex implementations. Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices using Java. Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework (MVC, IoC, Batch), and microservices architecture. Hands-on experience designing and implementing REST and SOAP services. Strong understanding of integration architecture, API-led connectivity, and event-driven systems. Experience integrating commerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and/or Adobe Commerce (Magento) with enterprise applications. Knowledge of commerce capabilities including catalog management, pricing, promotions, checkout, payments, order management, inventory, and fulfillment.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka. Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with cloud-native solutions, preferably AWS. Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness, and CI/CD practices. Experience in technical governance, architecture reviews, and mentoring development teams.
• Nice to Have
• Experience with Headless or Composable Commerce architectures. Exposure to Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience with API management platforms such as MuleSoft, Kong, or Apigee. Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Adobe Commerce certifications. Ideal Candidate
