Java Full Stack Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our GMIT-Prime team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our Prime services, which include a suite of applications catering to different streams like Cash, Synthetics, Trade Processing, Margin, and Financing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between junior team members' knowledge and application needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Application development (UI + Backend), support, enhancements, bug-fixing, and mentoring
• Demonstrating good understanding of the functional aspects of the application
• Reporting progress to the Project Manager
• Escalating problems to local management and suggesting solutions
• Ensuring that project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life-cycle and day-to-day development work
• Maintaining administration tasks, such as Jira and Wiki
• Meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• Strong technical skills in Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate, and Angular
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Sonar, and BitBucket
• Knowledge of Rest API, Kafka, and MQ
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to collaborate, deliver results, and pay attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to Have Skills and Experience

• Experience with Python, Redis, or Oracle Coherence
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies
• Previous experience in a similar role or industry
• Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments
