Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of a high-performance Loan Origination System (LOS). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and building scalable enterprise applications in the financial services domain.

Key Responsibilities (Development and Implementation)

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for the Loan Origination System.
• Implement event-driven workflows for application processing.
• Develop asynchronous processing solutions for high-throughput scenarios.
• Integrate with third-party services.
• Implement caching strategies using Redis to optimize performance.
• Build robust error-handling and retry mechanisms for external service calls.

Performance and Scalability

• Optimize database queries and connection pooling for PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Manage thread pools for asynchronous operations.
• Monitor and optimize application performance under high load.

Architecture and Design

• Apply clean architecture principles and design patterns, including Strategy, Factory, and Builder.
• Implement microservices-style integrations with clear separation of concerns.
• Design and implement callback-handling mechanisms for asynchronous operations.
• Build reusable components and services in line with SOLID principles.

Data Management

• Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL using JPA/Hibernate.
• Implement efficient data-access patterns and repository layers.
• Handle data migration and synchronization between systems.

Quality and Testing

• Write unit and integration tests using TestNG and related testing frameworks.
• Implement comprehensive error handling and logging.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+, including object-oriented programming, collections, concurrency, and multithreading.
• Experience with Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security (OAuth2), Spring Data JPA, WebFlux, and AOP.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, JPA/Hibernate, HikariCP, and query optimization.
• Experience with Redis and distributed caching strategies.
• Familiarity with Maven build tools.
• Experience with testing frameworks and libraries such as TestNG, JUnit, and Mockito.

Good to Have

• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture and high-throughput messaging.
