About Business Line/Function

Front & Middle Applications Domain manages development and applicative maintenance services and contributes to maintaining, evolving, and migrating applications towards cloud-based platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with the Group's transformation and digital strategy.

Position Purpose

As a Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain backend applications while contributing to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

You will be involved in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), working in Agile teams, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with business needs.

You will also leverage modern development practices, including AI-assisted tools, to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency, in compliance with BNP Paribas standards.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Develop andmaintainJava-based applications
• Contribute to all Agile phases: design, development, testing, and release
• Ensure code quality through code review, testing, and documentation
• Support production issues and incident resolution
• Implement and expose REST APIs and microservices
• Contribute to cloud migration and modernization initiatives

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Minimum 5yearsexperiencein Java development, including JEE projects and cloud migration/development
• Solid experience in backend development (Java SE, Java EE, Spring ecosystem)
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of persistence frameworks (JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data)
• Good knowledge of databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, T-SQL)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Experience with testing frameworks and code quality tools
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
  
  

Specific Qualifications

• Minimum 5years'experience in Java development
• Experience in Agile development environments
• Experience in cloud / microservices architectures
• Fluent English (writtenandspoken) – mandatory
