Java Developer

Responsibility:

Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications using Java and Python.

Build end-to-end solutions across APIs, web applications, batch processes, data services, and event-driven workflows.

Convert business requirements into clear technical designs and deliver maintainable, secure, and scalable implementations.

Contribute to system design decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, and application modernization.

Build resilient and observable services, diagnose production issues, and participate in production support on a rotational basis.

Implement automated unit and integration testing, including responsible use of coding assistants to improve test coverage and developer productivity.

Use CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and observability practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Collaborate with risk managers, product owners, developers, and partner teams in a global Agile Scrum environment.

Explore practical GenAI use cases, including LLM-enabled applications, agentic workflows, RAG, tool integration, and prompt or context authoring.

Skill Required:

• 7-10 years of software development experience delivering enterprise-grade applications, with strong hands-on engineering and end-to-end ownership from analysis through production.
• Deep expertise in Java and object-oriented design, including design patterns, collections, concurrency, performance optimization, and development using Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and building APIs, services, and distributed applications that are resilient, fault-tolerant, well-tested, secure, and production-supportable.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Python development, with demonstrated ability to deliver clean, efficient, reusable, maintainable, and optimized code.
• Experience building Python-based APIs, automation, data-processing services, analytical platforms, and AI-enabled solutions, with a focus on testability, packaging, configuration management, logging, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development, including GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools, code generation, refactoring, test creation, validation of AI-generated code, and adherence to responsible AI development practices.
• Strong foundation in modern software engineering practices, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, data modelling, SQL optimization, DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, observability, unit/integration testing, Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, cloud platforms, distributed systems, and application security fundamentals.
• Self-motivated Individual Contributor who can work independently with appropriate guidance, proactively drive outcomes, identify risks early, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex requirements, troubleshoot across application layers, and manage competing priorities effectively.
