Java Developer with Kafka Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Develop and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Create and manage Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and message streaming pipelines.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD best practices.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of multithreading, collections, design patterns, and OOP concepts.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka Streams or Kafka Connect.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies like RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ.
• Exposure to Reactive Programming (WebFlux).
• Understanding of security frameworks such as OAuth2, JWT, and Spring Security.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
