Java Developer (Kafka)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance distributed applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java-based microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud-native application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable backend applications using Java.
• Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Design Kafka producers, consumers, streams, and messaging solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and SDLC processes.

Required Skills

• 6-12 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Topics, Partitions, Streams).
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.
• Experience in developing Microservices Architecture.
• Proficiency in REST APIs and messaging systems.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and Confluent Platform.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
