About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join its Payment Domain engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in J

ava, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker & CI/CD , with hands-on experience building scalable backend systems and enterprise-grade applications.

Location: Hyderabad (Onsite – 5 Days WFO) Experience: 4–7 Years

• Develop and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
• Design and implement scalable Microservices architectures.
• Build and integrate distributed systems using Kafka and Redis.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools for coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
• Integrate AI/ML and LLM-based APIs into enterprise applications where applicable.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design initiatives.
• Follow best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in

Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and SQL .

• Strong understanding of

Data Structures, Algorithms, and

Object-Oriented Programming .

• Experience building and maintaining distributed systems using

Kafka and

Redis .

• Strong expertise in

PostgreSQL and relational database design.

• Knowledge of

UML, software design patterns, and

application architecture .

• Experience working with

Microservices-based architectures .

• Hands-on experience with

Docker ,

CI/CD , and

production deployments of Java applications. Ability to work closely with DevOps teams to monitor deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable releases.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of

Generative AI ,

Prompt Engineering ,

Agentic AI, and AI-assisted workflows.

• Experience consuming or

integrating AI/ML services and

APIs .

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or FoundationDB.
• Exposure to AI/ML solutions, LLM integrations, and enterprise AI applications.
• Knowledge of secure AI implementation and responsible AI practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed computing.
• Experience with performance optimization and high-throughput payment systems.
• Hands-on experience with modern open-source development tools and frameworks.
