Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java.
• Write and debug efficient and optimized SQL queries for data transformation and reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and develop features aligned with Data Science specifications, leveraging a solid foundation in mathematical and statistical principles to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Git and DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on backend and data systems.
• Strong proficiency in writing, debugging and optimizing complex SQL queries against large data sets.
• Excellent knowledge and expertise on OOP concepts, SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to debugging and optimization.
• Familiarity with mathematical modeling, statistics, or data science concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to AI tools like MS Copilot.
