Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, and AWS. The ideal candidate should have experience designing and developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications using modern Java technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain Microservices-based applications.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems.
• Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Work with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and event-processing mechanisms.
• Implement asynchronous communication between microservices.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Develop database queries and optimize application/database performance.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS cloud.
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, or similar services.
• Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, and resiliency mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production support.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning and technical discussions.

Mandatory Skills

• 610 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs / RESTful Web Services.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Good understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous communication.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Good understanding of Git and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and exception handling.
• Experience with JUnit/Mockito or equivalent unit-testing frameworks.

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AWS ECS/EKS.
• Experience with Redis/Caching.
• Knowledge of AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
• Experience with Spring Security / OAuth2 / JWT.
• Knowledge of API Gateway.
• Experience with distributed systems and application performance optimization.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
