Mandatory Certification / Preferred Domain Experience: AWS Migration Experience

Role Overview: We have an urgent requirement for a

Java AWS Lead position and are looking for experienced professionals who can lead application development, cloud migration, and modernization initiatives in a Banking domain environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Java technologies, AWS cloud services, and migration projects, along with the ability to lead technical teams and drive project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Java technologies.
• Drive AWS cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define technical solutions.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Lead end-to-end application migration activities from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and support teams.
• Review application architecture, code quality, and development best practices.
• Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and banking industry standards.
• Participate in effort estimation, project planning, risk management, and status reporting.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders and manage deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Java Lead or Technical Lead.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Experience leading AWS cloud migration and transformation projects.
• Good understanding of cloud-native architectures and AWS services.
• Experience working with Banking or Financial Services clients, preferably State Street or similar organizations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead distributed teams in a hybrid working environment.
