Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Java API & Microservices Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, and cloud-native development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
• Develop and consume APIs for integration with internal and external applications.
• Implement Microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateway, circuit breaker, and distributed tracing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.
• Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Discovery (Eureka/Consul).
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging systems.
• Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Good to Have

• Experience with Spring Cloud components.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Exposure to Redis/Caching solutions.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk.
• Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and application security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in enterprise application development.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices patterns.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
