IT Technician/ Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Desktop & Hardware Support
   
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, and other IT peripherals.
• Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
2. Software & Operating System Support
   
• Install and configure Windows OS, MS Office, and other business applications.
• Troubleshoot software errors, system performance issues, and application failures.
• Ensure antivirus updates, system patches, and basic IT security compliance.
3. Network & Internet Support
   
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and basic network issues.
• Manage network printers and assist with routers, switches, and connectivity.
• Coordinate with internet service providers for network-related issues.
4. CCTV & Office IT Infrastructure
   
• Install and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related equipment.
• Maintain biometric attendance systems and other office IT devices.
• Coordinate with vendors for IT infrastructure maintenance.
5. IT Asset & Inventory Management
   
• Maintain records of IT assets, including computers, laptops, printers, and accessories.
• Track equipment allocation, repairs, replacements, and warranties.
• Maintain IT inventory records and documentation.
6. Employee Technical Support
   
• Provide timely technical assistance to employees for day-to-day IT issues.
• Maintain records of IT complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Support email configuration, system setup, and data backup.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all office IT systems.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, and software installation.
• Good understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and basic networking.
• Experience in printer troubleshooting, CCTV systems, and biometric devices.
• Knowledge of IT asset management, data backup, and antivirus tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.
