It Security Specialist

Position Purpose

The Senior IT Security Operations Engineer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for securing the enterprise perimeter, cloud access, and all endpoint devices. Reporting directly to the CITSO, you will own the architecture, deployment, and daily operations of the company's Zscaler platform and enterprise-grade Anti-Virus/EDR solutions, ensuring thousands of remote insurance agents and internal employees operate securely

Key Responsibilities

• Zscaler Architecture & Administration: Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). Design, implement, and maintain secure web gateway policies, SSL inspection, URL filtering, and secure application access templates.
• Endpoint Security Management: Own the deployment, configuration, and continuous fine-tuning of the enterprise Anti-Virus / Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR) solution (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or SentinelOne).
• Policy Enforcement: Build and enforce Zero-Trust access rules tailored to different user tiers, including corporate staff, field adjusters, and third-party insurance brokers.
• Incident Response & Threat Hunting: Analyze alerts escalated from the Zscaler and Anti-Virus consoles. Isolate compromised endpoints, contain malware outbreaks, and lead technical remediation efforts. • Integration & Automation: Integrate Zscaler and endpoint telemetry into the central SIEM to maximize visibility and automate incident response playbooks.
