Job Description: 
Role OverviewWe are looking for an IT & Security Administrator with 5–7 years of hands-on experience across systems administration, network administration, and IT security. The role will manage and secure our IT infrastructure, maintain reliable connectivity, support employees, and strengthen security controls across endpoints, servers, cloud services, and networks.The ideal candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting issues across multiple layers of the IT environment and taking ownership from diagnosis through resolution.Key ResponsibilitiesSystems and IT Administration

• Administer Windows, MacOS and Linux systems, laptops, and associated IT infrastructure.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and related identity and collaboration services.
• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, device provisioning, software deployment, and access management.
• Maintain endpoint configuration, operating system updates, patching, and device compliance.
• Manage backups and recovery procedures, monitor backup failures, and conduct restoration tests.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, configuration records, licenses, and operational documentation.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, authentication, and application issues, coordinating with vendors where required.

Network Administration

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, and VPN services.
• Manage LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, and office Wi-Fi.
• Monitor network availability and performance, investigate connectivity issues, and coordinate with internet service providers.
• Maintain network segmentation, firewall rules, and secure access to internal and cloud-hosted resources.
• Perform basic administration of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), including user access, URL filtering, policy updates, Client Connector support, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Document network topology and configuration changes, including validation and rollback procedures.

Security Administration

• Administer endpoint protection, EDR/XDR, email security, secure web access, and remote access solutions.
• Manage MFA, role-based access, privileged access, and periodic access reviews.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and coordinate incident containment and recovery.
• Identify vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses, prioritize remediation, and track closure.
• Implement system and network hardening, secure configurations, and patch management practices.
• Support security audits by maintaining evidence, reviewing controls, and addressing findings.
• Help employees adopt secure practices through guidance and security awareness activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure administration, covering both systems and networks.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows administration and working knowledge of Linux.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and wireless networking.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, endpoint security tools, and security monitoring.
• Experience managing identity, MFA, user permissions, and device security policies.
• Familiarity with virtualization, backup platforms, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues systematically, assess operational impact, and verify resolution.
• Clear communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Willingness to support planned maintenance and critical incidents outside standard working hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platforms such as Fortinet, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Intune, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting tools for routine administration and automation.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, vulnerability management, Zero Trust access, and incident response processes.
• Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar security control frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Fortinet, AWS, or Azure certifications.
