IT Business Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong SQL skills and domain experience in Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG). The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze data, document business processes, and support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Use SQL to query and analyze data to support business decisions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow documentation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate business requirements.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Track requirements and project activities using Jira and Confluence.

Mandatory Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong SQL skills and data analysis experience.
• Experience in the Retail, CPG, or FMCG domain.
• Experience in requirements gathering, user stories, and functional documentation.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with UAT, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in e-commerce or digital commerce.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Excel and business reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of retail business processes and customer journeys.
