It Asset Management Analyst-L2

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst L2 to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets for Msyore. The role involves handling escalations from L1 support, maintaining accurate asset records in the CMDB, ensuring compliance, supporting audits, and coordinating with vendors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ITAM tools and a solid understanding of ITIL-based asset management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete IT asset lifecycle — procurement, receipt, tagging, deployment, transfer, maintenance, and retirement/disposal of hardware and software assets.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records in the CMDB/ITAM tool, ensuring data integrity across hardware, software, and license inventories.
• Act as the L2 escalation point for asset-related incidents and service requests raised by the L1 support team; investigate and resolve complex issues within SLA.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for procurement, warranty claims, AMC renewals, and RMA (return merchandise authorization) processes.
• Conduct periodic physical asset verification, reconciliation, and audits; report and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and publish asset utilization, aging, and compliance reports/dashboards for management review.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO 27001, SOX, customer audits) by providing accurate asset documentation and evidence.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (Asset & Configuration Management, Incident, Change, and Problem Management) and internal SOPs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to L1 team members; assist in knowledge base and SOP documentation updates.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset tracking accuracy and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in IT Asset Management (hardware and/or software) in an ITSM/IT infrastructure environment.
• Hands-on experience with ITAM/ITSM/CMDB tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Flexera, SCCM, or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of ITIL framework and processes, particularly Asset & Configuration Management.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency in MS Excel; experience building dashboards is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage L1 escalations effectively.

Preferred Certifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM / CHAMP) or equivalent ITAM certification.
• Familiarity with CMDB/discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery) is an added advantage.

Location & Work Mode

This position is based out of Mysore, Karnataka. Candidates should be willing to work in rotational shifts as required by business operations.
