We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications to join India CoE-Integration Engg - CAT IT Division. The Data Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, monitoring and support of Commercial Account platforms. This role will partner with Cat Financial's IT teams to deliver scalable data solutions, API integrations, and analytics capabilities.
The successful candidate will leverage modern data engineering technologies including Dataiku, Snowflake, Python, SQL, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and API-based architectures to enhance platform stability, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic digital transformation initiatives. This role serves as a technical expert for data integration and platform modernization efforts, ensuring global solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore - Caterpillar PSN.
What you will do
Technical Support and Development
- Provide technical support for global Commercial Account platforms and associated business processes.
- Support production operations, monitoring, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and maintain secure, scalable API integrations, and event-driven architectures-by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring compliance, and coordinating integrations across Commercial Account platforms.
Data Engineering Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Dataiku, Python, and SQL.
- Build and optimize enterprise data solutions utilizing Snowflake as the primary cloud data platform.
- Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and governance processes.
- Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives through curated datasets and reusable data products.
Software Development Automation
- Utilize GitHub and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Apply DevOps and CI/CD best practices to ensure reliable releases and platform stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
What you will have
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial services, commercial lending, credit operations, or payment processing platforms (ie. Fiserv FirstVision or TSYS/FIS Total Issuing Solutions).
- Experience integrating with third-party platforms and SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and data governance principles.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience supporting globally distributed users and business processes.

- Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
- Level Working Knowledge: Tracks problems associated with the quality and effectiveness of application software; Researches the benefits and drawbacks of an organizations application software; Drafts application software usage for the departments needs; Provides instant support for end users.
