ISO 27001 Implementation Consultant

Job Summary

The ISO 27001 Implementation Consultant will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001 standards. The consultant will work closely with management teams, IT departments, and stakeholders to ensure compliance, improve security posture, and successfully achieve certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ISO 27001 gap assessments and readiness reviews.
• Develop and implement ISMS frameworks.
• Perform risk assessments and maintain risk registers.
• Create and review security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Define Statement of Applicability (SoA).
• Coordinate internal audits and management reviews.
• Guide teams on ISO 27001 control implementation.
• Prepare organizations for external certification audits.
• Conduct employee awareness and security training sessions.
• Monitor compliance and recommend continual improvements.
• Assist in remediation of audit findings and non-conformities.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience in information security, ISMS, or ISO 27001 implementation.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred Certifications: ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer.
