IP DRG Coder - Opening at Paix Services

Job Description:

We are looking for experienced IP DRG Coders with strong knowledge in inpatient coding and DRG assignment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in reviewing medical records, assigning ICD codes, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate coding for inpatient records
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and regulatory requirements
• Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Work closely with QA teams and auditors
• Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of DRG coding (IP)
• Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Familiarity with coding guidelines and payer requirements
• Experience in coding tools/software
• Good analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification: CCS / CIC / CPC (preferred)
• Experience in US Healthcare coding
