iOS Developer

Kanini is seeking a highly skilled iOS Developer with strong expertise in Swift and native iOS application development to work on scalable and enterprise-grade mobile applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications while ensuring reliability, security, and a seamless user experience.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

iOS Application Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced iOS applications using Swift and UIKit.
• Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable mobile application components.
• Integrate REST APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries into iOS applications.
• Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Develop secure and high-quality mobile applications following best coding practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.

Collaboration and Agile Participation:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Developers, and QA teams across the SDLC.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Provide timely updates on development progress, risks, and dependencies.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends, Swift enhancements, and Apple frameworks.
• Improve application architecture, code quality, and development efficiency.
• Contribute to engineering standards, technical documentation, and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers whenever required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in iOS application development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift.
• Solid understanding of UIKit and native iOS frameworks.
• Hands-on experience integrating REST APIs and handling JSON data.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and VIPER.
• Experience working with Git or other version control systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
• Good understanding of application performance optimisation and debugging techniques.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Couchbase Lite/Server or other NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of offline data synchronisation and caching mechanisms.
• Familiarity with OAuth2 SSO, encryption, and mobile security best practices.
• Experience working on healthcare or enterprise mobile applications.
• Exposure to scalable and secure application development.
