Role & responsibilities

Payroll Operations

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within defined timelines.
• Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave data, reimbursements, incentives, deductions, and arrears.
• Prepare salary payout files and coordinate salary disbursements with banking partners.
• Generate and validate payslips and payroll reports.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with:
• Provident Fund (PF)
• Employees' State Insurance (ESI)
• Professional Tax (PT)
• Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)
• Labour law requirements
• Reconcile statutory deductions and coordinate filings.
• Support audits and compliance checks.

Compensation & Benefits Management

• Administer compensation structures and salary revisions.
• Process bonuses, incentives, ex-gratia payments, and special payouts.
• Support annual compensation review cycles.
• Manage employee benefit-related payroll transactions.

Employee Separation & F&F

• Process Full & Final Settlements (F&F).
• Calculate:
• Gratuity
• Leave Encashment
• Bonus payouts
• Recovery adjustments
• Ensure timely settlement of employee dues.

Payroll Taxation

• Manage employee tax declarations and investment proofs.
• Prepare Form 16 and related tax documents.
• Support quarterly and annual TDS return filing (24Q).
• Handle payroll tax reconciliations.

Reporting & Analytics

• Generate payroll MIS reports such as:
• Cost Center Reports
• Variance Analysis
• Headcount Reports
• Compensation Reports
• TDS & Statutory Reports
• Support management with payroll analytics and insights.

Stakeholder Management

• Resolve employee payroll queries.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
• Support payroll transitions, migrations, and process improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2-6 years of experience in Payroll Administration or Payroll Operations.
• Experience handling payroll for 500+ employees preferred.
• Exposure to payroll outsourcing or shared services environment is advantageous.
