Investment Banking & Advisory Intern (CA Articleship)

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Origination & Closing

• Assist in sourcing and qualifying new mandates through outreach to start-ups, founders, and

referral networks

• Support preparation of pitch materials, term sheets, and engagement letters for prospective

clients

• Track deal pipelines, follow up with prospects, and help push active mandates to closure
• Participate in client calls, investor meetings, and pitch sessions alongside senior team

members

• Maintain a deal tracker and provide regular status updates to the Managing Partner

2. Investment Banking & Transaction Advisory

• Prepare and refine Information Memoranda (IMs), teasers, pitch decks, and executive

summaries for fundraising mandates

• Build and stress-test financial models: revenue projections, valuation (DCF, comparable,

precedent transactions), and sensitivity analysis

• Conduct investor research identify, profile, and map relevant HNIs, family offices, VCs, and

AIFs for active mandates

• Assist in transaction structuring discussions and prepare scenario analyses for deal teams
• Support term sheet negotiations and coordinate documentation with legal and compliance

teams

3. Due Diligence & Research

• Conduct financial and legal due diligence: review financials, cap tables, MCA records, and

statutory filings

• Prepare due diligence checklists, data room indexes, and gap reports for investor review
• Carry out sector research, market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and regulatory landscape

analysis

• Validate client-provided data and flag inconsistencies or risk areas proactively

4. Advisory & Problem Solving

• Work on CFO Advisory (VCFO) mandates: MIS preparation, cash flow planning, budgeting,

and investor reporting

• Assist clients with DPIIT registration, 80-IAC applications, and government scheme advisory
• Provide inputs on compliance structuring, shareholding patterns, and start-up regulatory

frameworks

• Take on non-standard, first-of-its-kind advisory problems
• Adopt and actively use AI tools introduced by the firm to accelerate research, model-building,

and document preparation (full training provided)

5. Investor Relations & Ecosystem

• Manage investor outreach draft personalised pitch emails, WhatsApp broadcasts, and

LinkedIn messages

• Maintain and update investor databases with interaction logs, feedback, and follow-up status
• Build relationships with incubators, co-working spaces, and start-up communities in the

Mumbai ecosystem

Ideal Candidate Profile

• CA Inter cleared or pursuing CA Finals — currently serving articleship
• Hungry for deal-side work; not looking for a routine compliance or audit articleship
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable building financial models and interpreting numbers

under time pressure

• Excellent written and verbal communication — you will be drafting investor-facing documents

and speaking on client calls

• A natural problem-solver who can handle ambiguity and figure things out independently
• Fast learner with a high curiosity quotient — we handle non-textbook work regularly and need

someone who adapts quickly

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; prior exposure to financial modelling or IB is a strong

plus

• Comfortable with AI tools or excited to learn them — we will train you completely
• Self-driven, deadline-conscious, and able to manage multiple mandates simultaneously
• Based in or able to commute to Powai, Mumbai
