Inventory & Procurement Intern

This role will be responsible for day-to-day management of inventory for data center and IT infrastructure equipment, including power, cooling, networking, and facility-related materials. The role involves assisting with inventory tracking, stock verification, documentation, goods receipt, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The intern will work closely with Procurement and Operations to ensure timely material availability, proper inventory control, and efficient stock management while gaining hands-on experience in inventory and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in procurement of IT inventory, including servers, networking devices, storage, racks, cables, and peripherals.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, asset tagging, stock movement, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and invoicing.
• Support vendor onboarding, documentation, and compliance checks.
• Track warranty, AMC, and renewal schedules for IT assets.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to understand requirements and timelines.
• Support basic cost comparisons, negotiations, and vendor evaluations.
• Maintain procurement trackers, reports, and dashboards using Excel or ERP tools.
• Ensure adherence to internal procurement processes and audit requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field.
• Freshers with a strong interest in procurement/inventory are welcome.
• Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking components, or data center equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to ERP or inventory tools is a plus.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn vendor management and procurement processes.
• Clear communication and stakeholder-handling ability.
