Inventory Manager

Role Purpose:

Own and define the strategic inventory framework for Schueco India, ensuring material availability with optimized inventory investment, controlled business risk and disciplined KOW/NON-KOW governance. Act as the inventory business-process owner for the planned SAP S/4HANA transformation, covering future-state process design, master-data quality, controls, testing, migration readiness and user adoption.

Core Accountabilities

• Define and govern inventory policies, stocking principles and decision guidelines.
• Own quarterly, annual and long-term inventory plans aligned to demand, growth and supply constraints.
• Govern critical stock, safety stock, reorder levels and major buying decisions.
• Coordinate closely with Head Sourcing on supplier capacity, MOQ, lead time and supply risks.
• Own KOW/NON-KOW strategy and prevent one-time project demand from distorting regular stocking parameters.
• Lead inventory-health reviews covering DOH, ageing, excess, obsolete and free NON-KOW stock.
• Recommend scrapping, return, reallocation, liquidation and targeted stock-reduction actions.
• Lead warehousing, inventory-process improvement, automation and productivity initiatives.
• Drive inventory analytics, management reporting and working-capital improvement.

SAP S/4HANA Transformation Responsibilities

• Represent Inventory Management as business-process owner/key user during SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Map current processes and define standardized future-state inventory workflows, roles, controls and KPIs.
• Own inventory master-data readiness, cleansing rules, parameter governance and migration validation.
• Participate in fit-gap workshops, solution design, UAT, cutover readiness and post-go-live stabilization.
• Develop SOPs, user documentation and training; drive adoption and process compliance.
• Ensure inventory reporting, physical inventory, reservations, goods movements and stock controls are accurately reflected in the new solution.
