Role: Intershop Backend Developer

We are looking for an experienced Intershop Backend Developer to join our team and work on scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Intershop Commerce Management, backend development, Java, and enterprise e-commerce integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, and maintain Intershop-based e-commerce applications.

Develop scalable backend services and business logic using Java/J2EE.

Work with Intershop Commerce Suite, pipelines, cartridges, and business objects.

Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations.

Customize Intershop modules based on business and functional requirements.

Work with databases, SQL queries, and data models.

Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and production support.

Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Support deployment and release activities across development, testing, and production environments.

Follow coding standards, development best practices, and Agile methodologies.

Required Skills

6–8 years of backend development experience.

Strong hands-on experience with Intershop Commerce Management / Intershop Commerce Suite.

Strong Java/J2EE development experience.

Experience with Spring / Spring Boot is preferred.

Good knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP, web services, and integrations.

Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software development lifecycle.

Experience with Git and source-code management tools.

Good debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have

Experience with Intershop 7.x / Intershop Commerce Suite.

Knowledge of Intershop pipelines, cartridges, ISML, Business Objects and Framework.

Experience with Microservices and API-based architecture.

Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

E-commerce domain experience.
