Position : Production Manager - Emulsions 

Location : Kenya

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for and control of all operations of the Emulsion manufacturing plant including the planning, organizing, regulating and maintenance to guarantee 100% delivery of planned volume of products, with high-quality standards, ensuring safe & effective return on capital.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the production team to ensure 100% First Time Right (FTR) output and cost-effective operations.
•  Oversee end-to-end manufacturing processes for efficiency and product quality.
• Plan and coordinate daily and monthly production schedules in alignment with customer and market demands. 
• Ensure compliance with SHE, ESG, ERM, and Kaizen guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards.
•  Facilitate new product trials and production planning. 
• Monitor the condition of production equipment; plan and coordinate preventive maintenance with the engineering team.
• Promptly address any production and maintenance challenges to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. 
• Liaise with departments such as QA, R&D, Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Raw Materials to ensure cohesive and timely manufacturing operations.
• Foster teamwork across the supply chain to meet delivery timelines and maintain customer satisfaction. 

Requirement:

• Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior production role in a manufacturing setup, preferably in Emulsion plants for Paints and Adhesives.
• Proven experience in Automated plants, leading teams, implementing KPIs, and driving operational excellence.
