Internal Audit Manager

job Purpose -

The role is responsible for execution of the Audits, comprising of Internal Audit, Concurrent Audit, Branch Audits, Regulatory Audit as per frameworks prescribed by the Audit Committee.

Scoping for progressive automation of audit triggers working in tandem, supplementing traditional audit framework, and using the output data for deep dive in the audit program.

Work with functions to enable setting up of the comprehensive documentation required the Risk Based Internal Audit.

Role & responsibilities -

Execution of Internal / Concurrent/Regulatory/Branch Audits.

• Work under the directions of Head Internal Audit of ABHFL (who in turn works under the guidance of the Audit Committee and ABHFL & ABC senior management), to manage the day to day processes in Internal Audit function.
• Internal audit to be sufficiently capable of dealing with the diversity of processes across very diverse product lines, collaborating with the management governance hierarchy and the kinds of risk specific to each line of business and systems in use.
• To prepare and update Audit Universe basis the continuous change in the Business, Operating and regulatory environment.
• To undertake the risk assessments from an RBIA perspective.
• To execute the Internal Audit as per the approved annual Audit plan along with other IA team members.
• To maintain open communication with management, and to collaborate with all internal and external resources as appropriate in the carrying out of internal audits.
• To support in consolidation of the finding of the various audit reports, and presentation to the senior management.
• Resolve cross functional ownership issues through engagement / escalation.

Follow up and Validation of Closure for observations from Internal /Concurrent/Regulatory/Branch Audits and issues.

• Liaise with all relevant stakeholders for timely responses for all the open audits observations.
• Validate closure submitted by the stakeholders.
• Ensure timely closures of all actionable arising from the audits.
• Timely update to the Senior Management on the status of Open Observations.

Ensure timely completion of RCMs updation for the year.

• Ensure timely updating of RCMs as and when there is a change in the process/system.
• Support in ensuring all closure requirements are provided to the Statutory auditors.

Continuous Control Monitoring

• Ideation and identification of automated continuous monitoring trigger, implementation considering data availability, and underlying process.
• To deep dive into processes, to define objectives and identification of system wise data fields for the defined objectives.
• Work with the data / IT roles in organization in furthering the automation index of internal audit. This is a key priority.
• Highlight the exception generated to management for their proactive remediation.

Preferred candidate profile -

The critical skill sets are a strong analytical acumen, evaluation skills, detail orientation, decision making skills, taking new initiatives, target orientation and market intelligence developed through a strong industry network. Profile also requires good interpersonal skills due to high cross functional engagement not only internal teams and stake holders but also with external agencies.

The education & experience required to fulfil this profile are CA with 5+ years of experience in the Bank / HFC / NBFC Internal Audit function (Candidates with exposure to Retail Asset audit will be preferred).
