About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, quality assurance processes, and modern testing tools while working alongside experienced engineers on real-world applications.
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, quality assurance processes, and modern testing tools while working alongside experienced engineers on real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and functional specifications.
- Prepare and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Validate web and mobile applications across different browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure quality before production releases.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and execution reports.
- Learn QA best practices, testing methodologies, and automation concepts.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Basic knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Understanding of Manual Testing concepts.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn automation testing concepts.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Exposure to Postman for API testing.
- Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of Git or other version control systems.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
