About this role
Job Summary
Role: Intern - International Business
Location: Bangalore (in-office)
Duration: 6 months, full-time
Stipend: As per company standards
Role overview
The International Business function owns the complete P&L for its regions - channel partners, imports and exports, sales, service, support and training. This role runs the operational backbone of that business and acts as the bridge between the GTM team and the HO team - taking requirements from the field into Head Office, and taking HOs decisions and timelines back out to GTM. You will own four clear areas. Nothing more, nothing scattered.
What you will do
- Daily reports - tracking
- Track and consolidate the daily reports for the business
- Maintain the Excel trackers and MIS used in reviews
- Flag gaps, delays and discrepancies the same day, not at month end
- GTM activity
- Zoho adoption - track adoption across the GTM team, monitor usage, follow up on gaps, and keep the data clean
- Calling report - marketing leads - maintain and report on calling activity against marketing leads; track coverage, follow-ups and outcomes
- Vendor invoicing and payments management
- Raise and track Proforma Invoices (PI)
- Raise and track Purchase Orders (PO)
- Process and follow up on advances to vendors
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure vendors are paid on time, and maintain a clean record of every invoice and payment
- Commercials validation
- Check every invoice shared by a vendor against the initial quote
- Flag any mismatch in rate, quantity, scope or terms before the payment is released
- Keep a documented trail of quote-versus-invoice checks
Beyond these five, you'll pick up occasional support work for the international business - the kind of thing that comes with sitting at the centre of a growing region.
What we're looking for
- MBA (any specialisation)
- Strong MS Excel - pivot tables, lookups, building trackers and reports from scratch
- Strong MS Word - clean business documents and correspondence
- Good analytical ability - comfortable working with order and stock data
- Clear written and spoken English, for communicating with international partners
- Attention to detail, especially on records and numbers
- Willingness to follow up and close things out without being chased
- Good problem solving skills
- Highly process oriented
What you will gain
- Exposure to a full regional P&L - youll see partners, trade, sales, service and training working as one business, not as separate departments
- Real ownership early - youll be running live partner communication and dispatch tracking within your first month
- Visibility on both sides - sitting between GTM and HO puts you close to both the market and the decision-makers
- Practical skill building - strong Excel, MIS and reporting, plus a working understanding of export documentation and warehouse operations
- A clear next step - the role is built to grow into partner account management, demand and inventory planning, or international business development
- PPO consideration for strong performers
First 90 days
- Partners get timely responses and nothing escalates unnecessarily
- Every dispatch document is organised, traceable and available on request
- Warehouse daily and monthly reports are cross-verified on schedule, with mismatches raised early
- One clean tracker that GTM and HO both rely on
