Intern Fashion Buying

Role Overview

The intern will help build the foundational research and analysis required for AW27 assortment planning. This includes tracking sportswear trends, studying competitor brands, analysing past store sales performance, and converting findings into clear insights for the buying and design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market surveys across leading sportswear, athleisure, and activewear brands.
• Track AW27 trends across colours, fabrics, silhouettes, fits, graphics, trims, pricing, and product categories.
• Study competitor collections across brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Lululemon, Under Armour, HRX, and emerging D2C labels.
• Identify relevant trends for Indian consumers, climate, fitness usage, and store-led apparel shopping.
• Analyse historical sales performance of apparel and fitness products across Cult.fit stores.
• Identify bestsellers, slow movers, gaps in the assortment, and potential opportunities for future ranges.
• Support the preparation of buying briefs and design briefing documents for AW27.
• Create competitor benchmarking, trend boards, product maps, and presentation-ready summaries.
• Coordinate with buying, design, merchandising, and retail teams to collect inputs and validate findings.
• Maintain organised trackers, research databases, and presentation files.
