The Role: Intern- Business Analyst Upstox is looking for highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst Interns who are passionate about leveraging data and AI to solve business problems. This internship offers an opportunity to work with large datasets, build insightful dashboards, automate reporting processes, and utilize cutting-edge AI tools to improve decision-making across business functions. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical thinking, proficiency in SQL and Python, and hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other generative AI platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate data from multiple sources.
• Use Python for data analysis, automation, data cleaning, and reporting.
• Create dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) to improve productivity, automate workflows, and accelerate analysis.
• Support business teams by generating reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and present findings to stakeholders.
• Assist in developing data pipelines and process automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with product, operations, marketing, and business teams on data-driven projects.
• Document analytical methodologies and maintain data quality standards Requirements:
• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields from Tier-1 Institutes only.
• Knowledge of statistics and hypothesis testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and exploratory data analysis.
• Experience with APIs, automation tools, or workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. What You’ll Gain:
