Intern - Accounts & Audit

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Intern – Accounts & Audit role based in Aluva. The intern will assist in preparing and reviewing accounting records, supporting the preparation and analysis of financial statements, and helping with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities include supporting audit engagements by collecting documentation, performing basic audit procedures, and assisting in identifying variances and discrepancies. The role also involves updating compliance-related records, preparing working papers, and collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of client assignments. The intern will have the opportunity to learn professional standards, improve technical skills, and gain exposure to practical accounting and auditing processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with clients professionally.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance and the preparation and interpretation of Financial Statements.
• Candidates should possess an interest in Auditing and the ability to support basic audit procedures and documentation.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software, along with attention to detail and a willingness to learn, will be beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Aluva and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
