Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time on-site at Studio AVL’s Surat location, collaborating closely with architects and project teams to develop cohesive interior concepts for residential, commercial, and mixed-use spaces. Daily responsibilities include space planning, creating mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, and preparing detailed drawings and presentations for client review. The role involves coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), working with vendors and contractors, and ensuring design intent is maintained through all stages of project execution. The Interior Designer will also participate in client meetings, refine designs based on feedback, and support project documentation to deliver high-quality, buildable solutions aligned with Studio AVL’s design vision.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into functional, aesthetically compelling layouts.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including experience preparing or reviewing detailed plans for execution on site.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in FF&E selection and coordination, including sourcing furniture, fixtures, and equipment that align with project budgets and design standards.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent) is beneficial.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, along with prior studio or on-site experience, is preferred.
- Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, design-focused environment are essential.
