Key Responsibilities
Concept Development & Space Planning: Consult with clients to define project scopes, functional needs, and design styles. Develop layout options, mood boards, color palettes, and preliminary spatial concepts.
Technical Drafting & 3D Visualization: Create precise scale drawings, floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and 3D renderings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max).
FF&E Selection & Material Sourcing: Select and source furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), lighting, textiles, flooring, wall coverings, and hardware aligned with client preferences and budget guidelines.
Project Management & Site Supervision: Coordinate directly with contractors, tradespeople, and vendors. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, ensure compliance with design specs, and address on-site challenges.
Budgeting & Procurement: Prepare cost estimates, client proposals, specification sheets, and purchase orders; monitor project expenses to stay within budget parameters.
Building Codes & Safety Compliance: Ensure all space planning layouts and selected materials conform to local building codes, fire safety rules, and accessibility standards (e.g., ADA).
