Role & responsibilities

• Translate brand requirements and design concepts into functional, aesthetically compelling and commercially viable spaces
• Develop interior design concepts and design proposals for retail stores. Prepare mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes, furniture concepts and design presentations.
• Develop space planning and layouts while balancing aesthetics, functionality, customer flow and operational requirements.
• Prepare and review detailed drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans and furniture layouts.
• Develop design details and coordinate with MEP, lighting, signage and other consultants.
• Prepare material specifications and finishes schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, architect, contractors, vendors and site teams to ensure smooth implementation of designs.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material samples, quotations, mock-ups and custom design elements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of retail/hospitality planning, customer circulation, functionality and spatial experience.
• Experience working on retail stores, restaurants, cafs, hotels, hospitality spaces or other customer-facing environments.
• Good knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures and interior detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and presentation/design tools such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, V-Ray or equivalent software.
• Should be able to travel frequently.
• Strong design presentation and visualization skills.
• Good communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
