    • Coordinate installation and finishing of skirting, thresholds, expansion joints, sealants and movement joints.
    • Ensure that concealed services, embedded items and necessary inspections are completed before closing ceilings, partitions and wall finishes.

    C. Specialized Building and Facility Finishes

    • Animal enclosures, zoo facilities, visitor amenities, animal holding areas and associated public-facing buildings.
    • Specialized facilities requiring durable, washable, chemical-resistant, hygienic, anti-skid or waterproof finishes, as specified by the design and operational requirements.

Ensure that finishes in technical and utility areas comply with approved specifications and do not compromise equipment access, ventilation, drainage, maintenance clearances or operational safety.

    D. Drawing Review and Engineering Coordination

    • Review architectural, interior, reflected ceiling, flooring, joinery, door-window and finishing drawings before execution.
    • Identify discrepancies, missing details and interface issues between architectural, civil, structural and MEP drawings.
    • Coordinate with design consultants to obtain approved drawings, material specifications, samples and construction details.
    • Ensure proper coordination of light fixtures, diffusers, sprinklers, smoke detectors, access panels, electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures and other service interfaces with ceilings, partitions and furniture.
    • Prepare and maintain drawing registers, material submittals, technical queries and site clarification records.
    • Ensure execution strictly follows the latest approved drawings and specifications.

    E. Planning and Progress Monitoring

    • Prepare area-wise and floor-wise finishing schedules aligned with the overall project construction programme.
    • Develop short-term and weekly work plans in coordination with the planning and construction teams.

    • Maintain daily progress reports, progress trackers, pending-work lists and look-ahead schedules.
    • Ensure timely completion of mock-ups, sample rooms, benchmark areas and milestone inspections.

    F. Quality Assurance and Quality Control

    • Implement approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and method statements for finishing activities.
    • Inspect incoming materials for compliance with approved makes, samples, specifications and purchase orders.
    • Ensure approval of material samples, colour schemes, mock-ups and benchmark installations before bulk execution.
    • Coordinate inspections with the QA/QC team and consultants.
    • Ensure proper protection of completed finishes against damage, stains, moisture and subsequent construction activities.
    • Record and close non-conformities, snag items and quality observations within agreed timelines.
    • Maintain inspection records, material approvals, test reports and quality documentation.

    G. Contractor and Procurement Coordination

    • Coordinate with contractors, vendors and suppliers for material delivery, manpower mobilisation and work execution.
    • Review BOQs, scope of work, technical specifications and finishing quantities for completeness.
    • Support preparation of material requisitions, technical comparisons and contractor scope clarifications.
    • Identify scope gaps, interface responsibilities and potential variations before execution.
    • Monitor material consumption, wastage and reconciliation against approved quantities.
    • Coordinate with Procurement & Contracts (P&C) to expedite critical materials and resolve supply-related delays.

    H. MEP Interface and Safety Management

    • Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing and other service teams to avoid rework and damage to finished surfaces.
    • Ensure access panels, equipment openings, service shafts and maintenance clearances are properly provided.
    • Verify that wet-area waterproofing and relevant testing are completed before tiling and final finishes.
    • Ensure safe execution of work at heights, ceiling works, cutting, grinding, material handling and other finishing activities.
